One compounding pharmacy API instead of a portal and integration per pharmacy

</>

Telehealth brands that integrate pharmacies one by one end up maintaining a separate portal, API and status format for each; the fix is a multi-pharmacy router with one API. AffinityRx is that router: one integration reaches 15+ vetted compounding pharmacies, takes about 1 day of dev work, and your developers can place a test order the same day. Live approval comes on request, with support replies in under 10 minutes.

Why one API fixes the multi-portal mess

AffinityRx replaces N pharmacy connections with one, so a telehealth brand adds pharmacies without adding engineering work.

Every direct pharmacy integration brings its own identifiers, status names, validation rules and release schedule. Three or four of them become a small network to operate, and staff still log into separate portals for the gaps. AffinityRx gives one login, one invoice, one order history and one support contact across 15+ pharmacies, and the API normalizes statuses and webhooks so your code handles one format. When a pharmacy is backordered, automatic failover moves the order to your next favorite within 1โ€“2 minutes with no extra code. Read more in multiple pharmacy portals.

How the integration works

An AffinityRx integration goes from a Test key to a Live order in six steps, and most teams finish the build in about a day.

  1. Get a Test key.Sign up at platform.affinityrx.com and confirm the key with GET /v1/account.
  2. Read the catalog.List pharmacies, catalog items, shipping options and prescribing options to build the prescription form.
  3. Preview and create.POST /v1/order-previews resolves defaults; POST /v1/orders creates a draft with 1 to 20 prescriptions for one patient, or use POST /v1/order-batches for up to 20 orders.
  4. Sign and submit.Your platform authenticates the clinician and collects signing intent, then calls POST /v1/orders/{orderId}/sign-and-submit with an idempotency key.
  5. Follow fulfillment.Receive signed webhooks for acceptance, shipment, delivery and exceptions.
  6. Go Live.Request Live approval; AffinityRx verifies NPI and state license and approves as soon as it's requested. Use a separate Live key and webhook endpoint.
curl --request GET \
  --url https://api.affinityrx.com/v1/account \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer $AFFINITY_API_KEY" \
  --header "Affinity-Version: 2026-09-28"

Switching from RxRelay, LifeFile or a direct pharmacy

AffinityRx moves your existing data for free, so switching doesn't mean re-entering patients.

The AffinityRx account executive handles a free bulk import of patients, order history and active refills from RxRelay, LifeFile or a direct pharmacy. Clinics need no documents to start; the steps are book a demo, preload the $5,000 credit, get a login, enter NPI, place a test order, then a real order. See getting started.
