What Is AffinityRx? The Compounding Pharmacy Marketplace and Router
AffinityRx (affinityrx.com) is a B2B compounding pharmacy marketplace for clinics and a multi-pharmacy router for telehealth brands, not a retail pharmacy. It puts 15+ licensed compounding pharmacies and 250+ SKUs behind one login, one invoice and one API, so a practice orders from whichever pharmacy has the best price or fastest turnaround instead of managing a portal per pharmacy. AffinityRx costs $0 to join, covers all 50 states for most SKUs, and automatically moves an order to the next favorite pharmacy when the first is out of stock or rejects it. It launched with Cuvo, MyOrbitHealth and a telehealth brand, whose networks together process roughly 60 to 70 thousand orders a month.

What does AffinityRx do, and what is it not?
AffinityRx is an electronic prescription (eRx) ordering layer between a prescriber and compounding pharmacies. A prescriber, or a telehealth platform through the API, sends the order to AffinityRx, and AffinityRx routes it to the pharmacy chosen for that order. The pharmacy compounds, ships and is responsible for the medication.
AffinityRx is not a pharmacy, an EMR, a patient-intake tool or a prescriber network. It does not employ prescribers and does not dispense. Its job is the sourcing side of the business: which pharmacy fills an order, at what price, how fast, and what happens when something goes wrong. Cash-pay only; there is no insurance billing.
Who is AffinityRx built for?
AffinityRx fits telehealth brands, telehealth platforms, multi-location clinic groups and franchisors doing hundreds to thousands of scripts a month, because the value of multi-pharmacy redundancy and price optimization grows with volume. Smaller clinics, med spas, longevity practices and peptide clinics use it too, and the fit is strongest for any buyer whose single pharmacy has been late, out of stock or hard to benchmark on price.
Buyers usually arrive with one of six problems, in roughly this order of how often they decide the purchase:
- Prices they have never benchmarked against another pharmacy
- Slow shipping that sends patients to cancel
- Backorders that leave a patient without a refill
- A full-time staffer logging into four or five pharmacy portals
- Gaps in 50-state coverage
- The effort of getting started with each pharmacy separately
How does AffinityRx compare with a single pharmacy, direct contracts and other portals?
The difference is what happens when one pharmacy is the wrong answer for an order, because of price, speed, stock or state. The table compares the four common ways to source compounded medications on the criteria buyers raise most.
| Criterion | Single pharmacy account | Direct contracts with several pharmacies | Other portals and routers | AffinityRx |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pharmacies reachable | 1 | Only the ones you contract | Varies; many do not state a count | 15+ licensed pharmacies, 250+ SKUs |
| Logins, invoices, support contacts | 1 | One set per pharmacy | Varies | One login, one invoice, one order history, one support contact |
| Price visibility | One price, no benchmark | You compare by hand | Varies | Same medication from several pharmacies side by side, price set at signing |
| If the primary pharmacy is out of stock | Order waits or fails | Staff re-enter it elsewhere | Varies | Moves automatically to the next favorite (live) |
| Turnaround | Whatever that pharmacy offers | Checked per pharmacy | Varies | Shown per pharmacy, about 1 to 5 days |
| 50-state coverage | Limited to that pharmacy's licenses | Limited to your contracts | Varies | All 50 states for most SKUs, with state-rule checks |
| Cost to start | Per pharmacy | A provider agreement per pharmacy | Varies | $0 to join, no subscription, no per-order fees |
How AffinityRx solves the multi-pharmacy problem
The platform turns several pharmacies into one operational system. The mechanisms are specific:
- Lower prices through comparison. The same medication from several pharmacies appears side by side before ordering, and the price is set at signing. Clinics typically save about 10% versus their current price. In one anonymized case, a weight-loss telehealth brand's per-vial compounded tirzepatide cost went from $130 to $100. Savings are typical, not guaranteed. See pricing.
- Failover for backorders. Clinics pre-set a primary pharmacy plus second and third favorites. If the primary is out of stock or rejects the order, it moves automatically to the next favorite; the prescriber can turn on auto re-sign so it reroutes with no extra step. Proactive auto-routing to in-stock pharmacies launches Q4 2026. See order routing.
- Shipping you can choose. Turnaround is displayed per pharmacy, about 1 day for some and up to 5 for others, with overnight, 2-day and cold-chain options. Shipping is added on top, typically $15 to $30 per order.
- 50-state coverage. The eligibility check applies state board rules, including nonresident licensure, sterile permits and office-use restrictions, not just ship-to states.
- Vetted pharmacies. Every pharmacy is reviewed across compliance, product, track record, market feedback and operations. See how AffinityRx vets pharmacies and the pharmacy directory.
- One API, about 1 day of developer work. Telehealth brands integrate once instead of per pharmacy, test the same day, and get Live approval as soon as requested. Cuvo and MyOrbitHealth are live integrations.
- People who answer. Every account gets a dedicated account executive plus 24/7/365 human support and built-in AI support, with replies in under 10 minutes.
Controlled substances such as testosterone are added in Q2 2027; until then, use a DEA-registered pharmacy for those scripts.
FAQs
What is AffinityRx?
AffinityRx is a B2B compounding pharmacy marketplace for clinics and a multi-pharmacy router for telehealth brands. It connects a practice to 15+ licensed compounding pharmacies and 250+ SKUs through one login, one invoice and one API. It is an eRx ordering layer, not a pharmacy.
Is AffinityRx a pharmacy?
No. AffinityRx does not compound or dispense medication; the licensed pharmacies on the platform do. The platform routes the prescriber's order to the right pharmacy and handles the account, invoice, support and state-rule checks around it.
What does AffinityRx cost, and what is the catch?
Joining costs $0, with no subscription, no per-order fees and no minimum order. Clinics preload a $5,000 credit that is applied 100% to orders, never expires, has no minimum balance and is refundable if the clinic decides not to continue after a 90-day trial. Shipping is added on top, typically $15 to $30 per order.
A clinic already has a pharmacy it likes. Why add AffinityRx?
A clinic whose pharmacy is on the network can keep it as favorite number one and add failover behind it, so a backorder or rejection no longer stops a patient's refill. If it is not on the network, the platform imports your patients, order history and active refills from RxRelay, LifeFile or a direct pharmacy, so switching does not mean re-entering data.
How do I get started with AffinityRx?
Book a demo, preload the $5,000 credit, get a login, enter your NPI, place a test order and then a real one. No documents are needed from the clinic, and AffinityRx verifies the prescriber's NPI and state license before Live approval.
Does AffinityRx work in every state?
AffinityRx covers all 50 states for most SKUs. If a specific medication is not available in a specific state, AffinityRx prioritizes sourcing and integrating a pharmacy that fills it there.
